Guillermo comes from a long history of coffee producers, he is third generation producing coffee, his grandfather started producing coffee around 1960. Located in the colonia of loayza at 1700msal circa. El cucho farm benefits from rich conditions for coffee growing, through the years guillermo was able to settle in the coffee community as a reference for other growers in Caranavi and also for local roasters around the country.

Guillermo is agronormer from profession and he made his especialidad in coffee in Colombia, it was in these years that guillermo saw a lot opportunities for Bolivia, first he started importing milling machinery to Bolivia such as despulpadora, secadoras, etc. contributing to the development of coffee in Bolivia, also he was one of the first, if not the first, to grow the castillo variety, he choose this variety because of the size, the high yield and the resistance to some diseases such as roya, he also helped a lot his neighbors by giving them seeds of this variety and helping them with knowledge and post harvest practices, all these factors made him a good reference among the coffee chain locally.
